My custom teaware got fired today. Now, I wanted it to be mostly white, however due to the whims of the glaze and the gas kiln used by the potter.

it turned out primarily dark, dark red/ orange. Which may be the opposite of what I was hoping for, I actually like this look as well. And I know it'll probably get called shitty or rusty, but I'ma post some pictures the potter showed me

She even offered to redo the set, since she knew I wanted something else. But in the end, I enjoy a bit of serendipity and surprises in life, and I'm happy with the result so I bought it anyways

Also cause it is absolutely covered in Iron blossoms/ spots, which I care more about than the color of the glaze cause I think they look amazing. And I am fairly sure there is more iron showing on the pieces than glaze.

Except on the chahai, which is probably my favourite part of the set, it has a patch of white like I had expected the glaze to turn out, which makes for a lovely contrast.
