I just had some rockin' homemade navy beans and ham with fried potatoes and cornbread for lunch. Navy beans, a hamhock, big chunks of ham, some carrots, salt and pepper... Can't go wrong with a good navy bean and ham.

Navy beans and ham, cheapbro. All you need is navy beans, water, a hamhock, some ham, an onion, a bay leaf, and salt/ pepper/ hot sauce to taste. Optionally, some carrots, celery, and/ or green onion for garnish.

Soups and stews. Start with some stock, then put in chicken or beef or whatever protein, let it simmer for 30 minutes, then put in your veggies (carrots, onions, celery) for 30 more minutes.

You can eat for days cheaply, bro. Make some beef-vegetable, or chicken-wild rice, or whatever. Eat for two days at least, and portion out and freeze the rest for later. It's cheap to buy some meat and potatoes and rice and carrots and onions and celery, compared to buying one-shot "Hungry Man Dinners".

pic related, it's navy-beans-and-ham. It's cheap as fuck to buy a bag of navy beans (less than $1), a side of ham ($3-4 dollars), and an onion (less than $1 dollar), and eat for a week, You're belly will be full of protein and carbs, and you won't go hungry for a week on >$10.

Breakfasts, soups, and roasts are almost impossible to fuck up, anon. With roasts, it's just a side of meat, some salt, pepper, water, carrots, onions, and celery to get started, pop them all in a pan, stick 'em in the oven, and sit back until it's done and you have meat, veg, jus (which you can add some flour to to make gravy). That makes dinner + leftovers for days.

Likewise, hot breakfasts. Oatmeal, pancakes, eggs, bacon, and sausage are all nearly impossible to completely fuck up. They take a little practice to perfect, but they'll at least be edible if you just get them hot. All those ingredients are cheap as hell too.

Pic related, it's cheap, easy, tasty, and nutritious as fuck.

Navy beans and ham, with a side of cornbread and some thinly-sliced fried potatoes & onions is pure cozy comfort food. So simple, but so fucking good.

Make yourself some navy beans & ham, anon. Beans are pretty much all protein and carbs, plus it's cheap, tasty, and easy to make. Just cook some beans with a ham shank, then pull out the ham shank, strip off any meat you can get from it, toss the meat back in the pot with more ham diced into bite-sized pieces, and let 'em finish cooking. Garnish it with some green onions for more flavor. Boom, high-protein muscle fuel.

No need, that's exactly what I bought them for. I've got eight portions of beef-vegetable soup in the freezer from last week, a pot of chili from last night to portion out, navy bean and ham is up next. Tomorrow or the day after, it'll be red beans & rice with andouille. Then I'll be fixed for soups for the month with only about 8 total hours of cooking, counting prep and clean-up, not counting farting up the couch playing vidya while it simmers. Thanks for offer though soupbro.

Basmati rice. For extra flavor, cook it in chicken stock instead of water. Or you can make a pilaf by browning the rice in butter first, and adding some diced onion, peas, and carrots.

Make yourself some navy beans and ham. That's cheap, easy, and tasty as fuck.
