Yes I'm an insufferable faggot. I believe my preferences (in wine among other things) are superior to those of most people. But I don't think my ability to perceive flavor is anything special. Like, we can both hear a song, and one of us can say it's tacky and another can say it's nice, our disagreement is not because one of us is literally deficient in the hearing department, entens?

I don't know what you mean by "shill" but I will make my preferences known if I feel like saying so will make a positive difference in my overall experience, also I have engaged in same-sex relations, so that makes me a faggot by some accounts. If there is no benefit to bad mouthing the available wine I keep my mouth shut and likewise I have been known to engage in opposite sex relations as well, so this is all pretty subjective
