when every group on earth cooks (and yes I did check the inuit do cook some food), there is no other arguable basis other than it having some form of instinctual basis. there's even archeological proof that neanderthals cooked their food, albeit on a basic level.

cooking essentially makes up an extra layer of pre-digestion, the nutrients in cooked food are broken down and more readily available which has been shown to drastically increase the nutritional value not just by releasing it from the food, but by greatly reducing the energy required to process it ourselves. this means much faster meals that need to be performed less often, on top of it virtually removing the inherent health risks of eating (poisons, bacteria, and parasites).

cooking meant humans could reasonably eat a good meal about once a day (the average amount of time for food to be digested), which only took about 1 hour and provided the nutrient needed for the day, and spend the rest of it forming the societal basis of what became modern humanity.

cooking food is more than likely the major evolutionary tipping point that allowed humans to become humans, and you just want to go back to eating raw because you can? that makes you a faggot.
