OP I once was a short order cook at a popular burger spot, I'll tell you my methods.

Not sure how your stove is, but turn it to around medium to medium high. Preheat the pan, the burger should start sizzling when it touches the pan. Not a violent sizzle, a sensible sizzle.

Never use frozen patties. You really don't even want the meat to be too cold. Take the meat out of the fridge and let it sit out awhile so that its cool but not room temp.

Don't grease the pan, burger makes its own grease. Throw that baby down and let it fry just until the blood and juices start to collect on the top. Flip it.

Second side you will cook longer than the first, about twice as long. After the first flip you season the cooked side and wait until you feel the burger is getting close to the level of doneness you want. Thin patties won't take long at all, quarter pounders take a few mins.

Flip again, add seasoning to the top side, and put on whatever cheese or topping you want. let it sit until melted, or if you think the burger is on the verge of being overcooked add a small amount of water to the pan and cover, steam will melt the cheese in a few seconds.

Now eat, go, eat.

Most fries are frozen shit anyway. I'm saying crinkle cut is a superior frozen fry. I think some people don't like them because they see the shape and assume they are pressed and molded potato parts, like chicken nuggets. They aren't. They are the same as any other frozen fry with a superior shape. And I emphasize that they must be cooked properly. When some people think of crinkle fries they imagine the baked limp frozen and unsalted fries they gave us in school. Those sucked. They gotta be fried at a high temp.

I agree that I'd take a fresh cut normal fry over a frozen crinkle.Fresh is always best. But I'd take a fresh cut crinkle over anything. It is best shape.

The only thing bad about it is the way it sounds. MSG and monosodium glutamate sounds like poison. Really its no worse than regular salt though. Some say its cheating, and fuck those people. I put some in almost everything.

"Anon, why does everything you cook taste so awesome?!?! I followed your recipe just like you said and it was good, but not as good as yours......"

>MFW secret unmentioned ingredient is MSG. They'll never know.

Why do people complain when good things get popular? Yes it is trendy right now, yes nobody made them before and yes, they are being heavily marketed. I'm alot of people are buying them because they've never had one before and sales will eventually fall and even out, same as sourdough, ciabatta, flatbread, etc. I don't see the problem though. Pretzel buns are good, new, and a nice change of pace.

I swear some particular faggots automatically hate things because they are popular.
