What do you guys do with tofu? I've been taking extra firm tofu and cooking it in the air fryer until it starts to brown a bit and then throwing it in stir fries. Getting kinda bored with that though

I fried a pork chop to perfection then simmered it in a 50/50 mix of garlic salsa and BBQ sauce.
I added a little garlic powder too.
It was delicious, and I loved it.
I would do it again.

If you want good prices on meat then use your freezer.
You buy steaks on sale and freeze most of them.
From now on you only buy steaks that are on sale.
Same for every other cut and type of meat.
Unless it is a special occasion there is never a need to pay full price.

I fried a couple pieces of assorted pork chops ($1.50/lb) in a pan I had just finished frying bacon in. I then removed them to rest.
In the same pan I added half a chopped onion and a package of sliced mushrooms and cooked completely. I deglazed the pan with cognac, then added two tablespoons of butter and a bit of flour that I didn't measure, probably 3 tbsp.
Once the flour was cooked I added a quart of half and half and a heaping teaspoon of garlic paste (Better then Bouillon). I had cooked the pork with rosemary, so that was in there as well.
I returned the pork chops to the gravy and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
For a side I made a potato casserole which was layers of thin sliced potatoes, onions, green pepper, cheddar cheese, and bacon cooked in the oven at 400 for 50 minutes. I precooked the bacon before assembling it.
I served the pork in the gravy, and put a big pile of those potatoes on my plate and smothered them in gravy as well.
It was comfort food heaven.

I seared it for color, and am now roasting it at 225.
Smoked paprika and cumin are the main flavors.
I paid $5.99/lb for it.
