I only eat fast-food when I'm on the road or in a rush but yeah it's gotten significantly worse over the years.

>drive up to the window after ordering a really simple combo order
>Uhm sir could you please park your car over there and we'll bring your order to you
>Proceed to take 10 minutes to bring me a chicken sandwich with fries and a drink

They have your money hostage too so there's nothing you can really do about it. Making you park wasn't even a thing in my experience until the last few years.
