>$6.79 for a fucking cheeseburger
Fuck that
No wonder this place is considered a 'tourist trap'. You'd have to be a fucking idiot from out of state to fall for that shit.

I can go to BK and get one twice that fucking size for $4

Looks okay.
I probably would've added more tomato sauce, maby some beer, used cube steak instead of turkey and turned it into a stew.

Its the same reason people choose to shop at walmart instead of thier local stores.
People are inherently greedy, and any business that can offer more stuff for cheaper is simply appealing to human nature. People generally want to save money, local economy be damned.

..not that mom and pop stores are completley innocent themselves.
They can sell shit as cheaply as walmart if they wanted to, but then they'd be fighting against thier own greed.
Independent retailers don't want to run on the bottom line like walmart. They want to make a profit. Its the reason they went into business in the first place.

No wonder this board is so culturally starved. All people know is "overpriced authentic" shit in NYC or "everything literally smothered in avacado" in LA.

Some of the best BBQ you've ever had can be found in Tennessee, and if the hipsters can crane thier delicate little necks just a liiiitle further south, you'll find more culinary heritage and taste in Louisiana than the entire eastern coast.

>me and my gf
reeeee

You can't save the parents, but you can teach the kid. Show her how to make simple shit.
Eggs. Toast. Mac n' cheese.
Hopefully she'll shame the parents into finally giving a fuck.

I'd be perfectly fine with paying for 'quality' goods if they didn't cost $4-5 more than the shitty ones.
Independent farmers and food companies price themselves out of business. Instead of pricing thier stuff perhaps a dollar or so above average, where the 'normal' shopper wouldn't mind, they go full retard and price gouge the fuck out of what little loyal customers they have.

I'd love to buy organic, all-natural locally grown produce that supports my local farmers, but goddamn they've gotta give a little if they ever want my business.

The optimistic side of me wants to believe that the customers just aren't aware of the time, and that its an honest mistake.

The other side, which has worked with the public for over a decade, knows the truth of it.
The general public simply does not know how to read.
Reading takes time and attention. Time and attention that the public simply doesn't have.
All they want is to get the thing. Open the door. Walk over there.
Just because theres a sign that says "CLOSED" , to them, doesn't necessarily mean its really closed.
Thats just a polite suggestion to them.
Also, any posted sign with important information that isn't flashing neon colors and slapping them in the fucking face while making a loud noise and screaming "READ THIS."
is pretty much invisible.
...even then I fucking guarantee there'd still be one or two people who wouldn't even see that.

Out of all the culinary masterpieces and legendary food i've heard of outside the US, the giant munchy box remains the one thing thats ever made me jelly.

Gay guy who hates the parades here too.

I'm not very political at all, I just don't see the point in joining a parade that only exists to celebrate a sexual preference and reinforce negative stereotypes.
