Got random breath tested for the second time ever on the way to work this morning. Literally never do it in that location except it's a long weekend.
3 liters of beer and a bottle of wine the night before followed by about 7 or 8 hours sleep.
Brain went into autopilot when I got pulled into the testing lane as it was double demerits and a very real possibility that I was finally fucked.
Counted to seven and cop said 'thanks, drive safely.'
When I got to work I had to sit in my car for 10 minutes until my hands stopped shaking.
The fucked thing is one of my first thoughts afterwards was I wish that I did get charged because it might be the kick in the teeth I need to actually get my shit together.
I've been walking with a limp for the past two days because I tripped over a broken monitor and smashed my knee on my bedpost on Australia day. Feels like a matter of time until something truly bad happens.
