So I just checked my Untappd account and I have tried nearly 200 different European beers. Probably 75% of those while I was in Europe and the rest imported (so not nearly as much as I have tried American beer but still a lot)

Sorry but this isn't true at all, there are many American breweries making excellent beers in the lambic tradition. The best lambic style beers I have ever had are from Wisconsin

California is weird in that it has a lot of very good breweries but also very shitty drinking culture and bar culture in general so you could go to a super market or random bar and think you are in fucking Mississippi, they can't stand up next to real beer regions like the Upper Midwest, New England and the Northwest when it comes to accessibility of good beer even if their actual brewer quality comes close

What are the best American sours you have had?
I have liked a lot of Belgian and American sours to the point where I would say they are at least equal in the category

I have a bottle of this I am waiting for a special occasion to open
