I knew an African guy, Ugandan I think from chef college and worked with him as a kitchen hand for about a year.
His budget meal that was tasty and nutritious was a basic salsa with tomato and white onion, sometimes tinned tomato if he was really short on cash, S&P and coriander.

Then he would cook a couple of batches of rice a week with some cheap stock powder and turmeric and roast some sweet potato, potato and carrot.

Also some cheap/tough beef that he would braise pretty plainly (maybe some rosemary and garlic), or if he caught some good rump on special then he would use that.
He would only need that once or twice a day as he got a free meal with a work shift.
Sometimes for breakfast he would reheat all that in a nice big mess with some eggs and roast veggies.

$20 to $50 a week at the most which is really great value considering he earned about $24/hr as a kitchen hand/cook.

Gimme some good diets/daily meals to keep me happy and alive /ck/.

I've been eating milk + cereals in the morning all my life, in the afternoon I get whatever there is at the cantina in my workplace, and evening I cook random shit - help me get cooking sorted so I can say that the problem is not the food
