He's kind of like that friend that you guys all make fun of behind his back, but really you love him. He does retarded shit because he doesn't know any better and you all think it's hilarious; if you did something like that you'd probably be super embarrassed but he doesn't care, he's not embarrassed. Diagnosed, actual, autist here. No it isn't. I'm pretty high functioning, but have only been on a few dates (I'm 31). That said, this wouldn't bother me. I might not understand all of the bits people mentioned earlier like "it's a signal" but it makes complete logical sense to me for someone who doesn't want to eat a lot to order something light and then share her dates meal for a bit of something heavier and more tasty, or to not rack up a higher bill, or even to eat lighter because they want to have sex later.

This whole scenario is pretty logical to me.
