L&L isn't great, but it's one of the few places on the mainland that serves lau lau, so I almost always get that. The pic in the OP is a number 19 with a side of kimchi. In Hawaii you wouldn't typically add any extra sauces to the place other than putting shoyu on the rice.

Alternately, if you want to go with something really common in Hawaii but hard to find on the mainland, I'd try the saimin, maybe with a side of manapua, and then either banana lumpia or malasadas.
