I organized a party for my 4yr old nephew at Chuck E. Cheese. It mostly went according to plan, we got fed, played in the arcade awhile, and they even did the weird little animatronic music show.

The thing that really pissed me off was the party at the table next to us had a bunch of kids who didn't get much pizza so they kept stealing ours, and at first my nephew was happy making friends but pretty soon started getting upset because we ran out of pizza. The parents of the other party didn't want to step up and the staff didn't give us more pizza and he started to cry. The worst thing was Chuck E. never came out to meet the kids and all he wanted was to meet Chuck E. We all left feeling pretty frustrated and the staff was zero help whatsoever.
