The tacos at El Bronco Mobil are $1.75 each, except tripa, which is $2 for some reason. Also the birria is amazing, even if it is made from beef instead of goat. It comes in a blue and white "It is our pleasure to serve you" Greek diner paper cup.

Novelty? They provide a more interesting alternative to fast food for about the same price. They can afford to take risks because the overhead is lower than a brick and mortar restaurant, so generally the food is full of character. They're not trying to please everyone. They just have to please enough people to sell out for the night.

In my neighborhood the brick and mortar restaurant tacos El Bronco has two trucks and at least one trailer cart. I get tacos from the truck more often than the restaurant because the truck is closer to me (and they deliver from the fucking truck!). Pic related.

I don't have to pay more than $1.50 for a good taco. That's what the truck down the hill from me sells them for. And they deliver!

Believe it or not this is my local taco joint. They're ungodly good, and they even fucking deliver. Tacos are $1.50 or $1.75, depending on what you order. You get radishes, cucumber, lime and a grilled Cambray onion on the side for free. Simple Puebla style deliciousness for pocket change. And they stay open until 5AM.
