Guys what if I bought a cast iron and just started using it without seasoning it or even washing it? Just a wipe down with a wet paper towel. Because that's what I did and it's been an absolute non stick beast since day 1. Bought it when i was a dumbass in college

Looks pretty good, OP. I'd eat it any day. I would invest in cast iron and alsostand the steak in it's sides in the pan for a bit to sear that fat and cook it a little more. Nice doneness but with cast iron you'll get a better sear and even less "gray ring"
