Why Scandinavian cuisine is such a disgrace? I can understand that in the past the harsh climate wouldn't allow a huge variety of ingredients to the common folk, severely limiting their traditional cooking. What baffles me is that even to this day their traditional eating habits and cooking methods never evolved past the Bronze Age.

Why Scandinavian/Nordic cuisine is so dull, unimaginative and sometimes plain shitty?

Traditional food basically means to kill some animal and eat it with potatoes, or let a fish rot until it becomes a putrid jelly and eat it with potatoes.

"OH! But we have lived in a frozen wasteland for thousand years!" So what? We live in a globalized world and your cuisine stays stagnant, you have NO EXCUSE.

Sweden is nice. Norwegian food on the other hand is absolutely disgusting.

And Finnish food must have something to do with the high number of suicides there.

Americans experience a very big disconnect between their dinner tables and the animals they eat. As far as they're concerned, what munches on grass and what's packed in plastic in the meat section of the grocery store are two completely different things. Personally, I can't stand heads still attached to my meal.
