the 2022 Naka brick I have isn't too bitter and I think it's a great deal. it's certainly not completely bitter-free though, but you could just brew it light. it's got some of that short-lasting sharp bitterness that's supposed to be typical of the region, not really the lasting bulang ku cha bitterness

I'm sure their Yiwu should be non-bitter, but I haven't had it. supposedly the #1 blend is also not too bitter

third session with the CSH 2022 Naka Brick. let's see if I have similar impressions to anon
>aroma
sweet fruity (apricots, pineapples) and also floral. gets stronger and more distinct with further steeps and is actually the nicest in the late brews
>flavor
sharp medium upfront bitterness that doesn't last too long. gives a slight impression of pine needles. sweet peach / apricot, some savory undertones, nice tingly playful mineral mouthfeel that lasts into a tingly pine needle aftertaste. leaves a nice mouth cooling effect.
a fun and tasty tea overall. definitely worth grabbing on sale. I like the sharp, sheer bitterness and mouthfeel and the aroma. I hear Naka compared to Jingmai sometimes, but I'm sure enjoying this more than the Jingmai Miyun from Farmerleaf, seems more interesting to me

regional pu-erh flavor is a bit complicated
you have the bigger regions like, say, Mengku or Yiwu that can share some characteristics or have a "stereotypical" flavor profile, but can also vary or have exceptions. thus, there is some disagreement as to how much you should rely on these
and then you have individual villages, those tend to have more of a defined flavor profile, like Banpen or Naka
Naka is supposedly in-between the really aromatic Jingmai teas and the more strong and bitter stuff from most of Menghai. supposed to be quite sweet too and on the fruity side of things
I actually have this Naka brick incoming, can't wait to get my hands on it: https://kingteamall.com/en-pl/products/2022-chenshenghao-na-ka-naka-brick-250g-puerh-raw-tea-sheng-cha

processing also matters a lot and some areas differentiate themselves partially through processing
