Too many to count considering we've taken in everyone's tired, the poor, the huddled masses that earned to breathe free. We have assimilated a lot of the world's cuisines and that's a beautiful thing. But when I think "what is something truly unique to the US that I can't really get anywhere else", I think diners.

Diners are so goddamn good. Getting a couple of eggs sunny side up or a club sandwich with a cup of coffee served to you by either an older woman or her daughter while getting called "hun" or some variation of that is a uniquely, comfy American experience that most people around the world don't know about. And we have these fucking anywhere!
