Russian here. I envy you americans for the variety of food the late stage capitalism broght you. All those fast food chains, pre-made everything waiting for you at the convenience of your nearest wallmart, chinese takeout, authentic mexican food and all the culinary benefits of that melting pot you have going on there, 20 flavors of every popular junk food item at least. No wonder you're all so fat, i would probably be too. But everything you get for granted i have to either make myself from the ingridients i can get, import or just wonder about. My latest project was a ginger beer, which turned out to be easy and delicious (thank you Weismann), currently on my third Moskow mule writing this.
My biggest success was pizza so far (i know it's not "american" but it's essential junk food, you know what i mean) I probably made around 300 at this point, i get compliments and can't eat any of the chains pizza now because mine is superior and cheaper)
Also the applie pies were really great, pic related. I prefer them with lemon zest and juice, a little sour.
The pumpkin pie was a disaster, it came out soggy because i didn't pre-bake the crust
Sorry i took so much of your time, you didn't have to read all this. Since you reached the end of the post can you suggest some products that worth importing, or may be some typiclally american dish. I have interest in hot sauces.
p.s. mtn dew high voltage was great
