Me and my girlfriend use to party a few years ago and our general purpose mixing rum was Bacardi silver. If you get a higher quality dark rum with alot of molasses I reccomend you don't mix it. Silver is right at the best quality and price point.

All the other places I went tend to use silver as well. Good all purpose rum.
