Having some kind of meat replacement in fact food is inevitable. Due to rising food costs, especially for beef, the cheap Hamburgers days are numbered. Fast food chains will be forced to either raise their prices significantly (a death blow to their business model) or use a cheaper meat replacement.

Personally, I don't really care either way. Since I'm not a child or a slovenly glutton I don't eat fast food more than a few times a year at most. I had the impossible whopper once and it was fine- no better or worse than the meat whopper. Impossible meat will never replace quality beef, but the beef used in fast food is such low quality, pumped with preservative and hormones I defy anyone who's not a 300 pound hamplanet or a DYEL /pol/cel that connects their masculinity to meat consumption to tell the difference.
