>Real stereotypical Greek joint, there’s even a store cat we let out during night to deal with the mice
>I get put in charge of night shifts
>21 years old, only worked delis and corner stores before
This man was not prepared for the degenerate fucks that work at a pizza place and he puts my dumb ass in charge of middle age drunk pizza lifers
>All the cooks drink on the job, it doesn’t matter to me they still do their jobs.
>After about a month he try’s to launch a big “no drinking during work” thing
>One long time guy gets fired for not being able to handle his shit, the rest just ignore it and keep drinking
>Fired guy gets fired and rehired about three times over the next 18 months
>Waitresses never last past three months because most people he hires are young semi attractive girls with coke issues
>Place is a shitshow, I’m only being paid 10 bucks an hour to effectively mange the place at night

I asked for a raise, he told me to fuck off so I quit, he ended up selling it about six months later
One of the cooks told me he hired some dope head to try to replace me who kept stealing from the register

Wasn’t a complete loss, they paid for my servsafe and I was able to put “manger” on my resume but goddamn it was a strange time in my life
