I don't carry salt with my for the cast iron stuff. The food doesn't stick to them. If it did I would flip the skillet over and burn off the food quickly then use ashes to clean the remaining stuck on food.

Kosher salt is too big, you need finer salt for skillet scrubbing.

Now this here is top tier trolling. The soap washes away the protection of the magnetite. some soaps are harsh and harm the magnetite layer.
