You know, I bet the amount of toppings released a lot of steam while cooking that might have prevented the cheese from browning. Just a guess, but in any event it'll taste even better if you get that cheese browned. I'd reduce the amount of toppings significantly (I heard someone say once that pizza should be thought of as a delicious bread with some extras, to give you an idea of the ratio) and crank up the temperature as high as your oven can go - probably 500F. Cook it at that higher temperature until the cheese browns and bubbles.

You can even make your own dough if you're up for that, and it makes the pizza even better. It's not that difficult - there's a book called Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day with a good first dough recipe. All you have to do is dump the ingredients in a bucket, mix a bit, and leave it in the fridge for a couple of days. Really good.

Also, mushrooms are a great topping, but fresh mushrooms are 10,000 times better on pizza.
