Son, you've just ventured into burgoo territory. It's a stew. City bitches make it with beef, chicken and pork, but the real deal is game meat and root vegetables. If you can hunt it, trap it, or farm it, it goes in your burgoo. Venison, boar, quail, pheasant, it's all good. It's the inland version of seafood gumbo.

That looks tasty as fuck. That would be good for dipping in a burgoo game stew with venison, boar, and root vegetables.

Any non-cream-based soups. Cream soups just have a nasty texture to me. My favs:
Minestrone
Chicken and wild rice
Wonton
Navy bean and ham
White chicken chili
Pork chili verde
Burgoo with wild game

Got some ham or boar shanks for marrow? Make a big pot of navy beans and boar with cornbread. Or make a burgoo with some venison, beef, bison, quail, chicken, what have you. In fact, I'd do the burgoo, that's intended for game meat.

Burgoo is the money stew. A good burgoo made with at least three game meats and veggies fresh from the garden will corkscrew you right into the bone zone.

Gumbo is a good option too.

Kentucky burgoo, baby. Goes great as an appetizer with barbecue and cornbread.

Alternately, a good hot brown with crusty, toasted bread.
