They're completely different things with individual pros and cons.

>ALCOHOL:

Pros: Good for social gatherings, to 'break the ice', to loosen moods etc. Tendency to work uplifting, relaxing.

Cons: Extremely hard toll on your body (often underestimated) to a point where it isn't really worth consuming. Destroys your brain over time. Hangover can be devastating. Disrupts your balance greatly. Numbs your mind, making you care less. Due to status of being 'legal' increased chance of affecting society negatively due to abuse/overuse.


>WEED:

Pros: Can greatly enhance group or single activities. Enhances taste of food immensely. Alters perception in interesting ways. Can evoke deep thought and facilitate new thinking patterns/creativity. Can affect your emotions both positively & negatively, but both scenarios usually lead to learning experiences about yourself and the world you live in if you process them right. And (let's be real...) video games are fucking awesome, like 20x as good!!

Cons: Can have negative health effects if smoked (vaping & eating eliminates this). Tendency to make people lethargic and lazy if overused. Due to 'illegal' status, paranoia can ensue (everyone hates me/is against me) which creates feelings of isolation. Can be expensive and/or dangerous to acquire due to status of being 'illegal' which forces you to consult black market. Can facilitate a need to maintain regular consumption to 'stay woke' when in reality it perpetuates the cycle of your mind being caught in an isolationist scheme.

>ERGO:
Both have their time and place. Both can be great. Neither should become a 'standard' in your life. Keep them for special occasions and enjoy them responsibly.
