In my experience it is not. In my experience they do not. I disagree, based on personal experience, with the idea Anglo-Saxon mothers are "literally so lazy". It is unfortunate if that has been your experience OP, these things can happen when living in a bubble. If this is something that concerns you I would suggest seeking out new experiences with new people that make up that dichotomy.
On a side note, why do the other three examples all go through the trouble of making too much food to compensate for not knowing their loved one that well? Why would that be shown as a universal counterpoint? The image, to me, suggests that everyone has problems in regards to food and cooking when involving loved ones. Seems silly, hyperbolic even.

You're perspective is that you can only know what something is if you've experienced it personally? Other peoples perspectives mean nothing to you? If something happens and you aren't there, you didn't miss out on it, even if informed on it?
I get were you are coming from but what you are arguing is different. Even if you don't know what you are missing, you are still missing it and in this case AWARE you are missing it. Which again, is fine. I've never done heroin and probably never will, but I'm well aware I am missing out on doing heroin.
