I've tried something similar to this as part of a CBT-I program for a couple of weeks but saw no results and stopped the program.

>caffeine, alcohol, drugs
I don't do drugs and don't drink caffeine or alcohol on a regular basis.
>no TV, phone, or other screens at least 2 hours prior
I've done this sporadically, but saw no results and didn't make it a routine. Will try to stick to it for a week and report back. (I suspect this may actually be the cause of the insomnia)
>clear schedule, finish out the day, practice relaxation
I try and do this everynight. My life isn't stressful but this insomnia did start after a nasty flu last year.
>reading/boredom
I've been meaning to listen to Game of Thrones on audiobook, but I think it might be too exciting and hurt sleep onset. Would it be better to meditate for a couple hours instead?

My dad had been diagnosed with lung cancer and I bought him one of those giant reese's peanut butter eggs for his birthday because he loved reese's and had just started to feel better from the chemo. He died two days before his birthday and I didn't want to throw the egg away, and I cried while eating it.

Anyone who cooks and has a iron should give this a try. If i got it first try, so can anon. Surely to use high quality ingredients, dont skimp on anything.

I've done 3 interviews drunk. They were all minimum wage jobs. I might get fired from current job, now. I can't believe I have to do another interview drunk after this.

My dad died two days before his birthday. I had bought him a giant reese's peanut butter egg because he had finally gotten his appetite back after not being able to enjoy anything during chemo, and he loved reese's shit so I thought it would cheer him up. I ended up eating the whole thing because I was numb and didn't know what else to do.

So eat something with peanut butter and/or chocolate in it I guess

is it true that you have to fry spices before adding the liquid to a dish? or is it a myth?

I often make a spicey chiken and tomato meal where I fry onion and garlic(and some bacon sometimes), add some chopped mushrooms when they start to look a bit fried, then add my spices(1 teaspoon of chili powder, paprika, cumin, 2 teaspoon of turmeric cos I love it). then push the mix to one half of the pan and add diced chicken, fry it off a bit then add pasata or chopped tomaties from tin add some oregano, let it simmer for the 10 min that the pasta takes to cook, combine in a bowl

when I add the spices though, it sucks up all the oil, and I'm not sure if I should be frying off the chicken before I add the spices or not, sometimes I have to add extra oil, or can I just add the spices as I add the tomatoes?
