I recently discovered using mayo for a lot of common cooking applications and I gotta say, it works better for a lot of stuff than the usual alternatives.

But quick question, as i'm a shitty cook and don't want to burn my house down. Can mayo be used in place of egg for breading chicken breasts with panko and stovetop frying? I can't imagine why it wouldn't be able to be used like this but I also am not well versed in frying things.

Also, what's your favorite unusual application for mayo? Mine is grilled cheese (coating the bread in mayo and tossing in the pan to fry, rather than putting butter in the pan like most people do. Creates a more evenly cooked and tasty grilled cheese imo). Shit is also the bomb on fries/chips.
