Lol. If OP is from Wisconsin I'm guessing you're upper peninsula. He may be 10 years behind, but somehow you're still living in the 70's.

Lol. Is this pasta? I've seen this, or some variation of it, posted so many times and it always makes me laugh. It's almost perfect bait, almost on par with that guy who used to post webms of himself pouring really good beers down the drain.

This made me laugh harder than it should have. I've been making like 40 orders of braised veal shanks at work, have everything ready, and then the fucking can opener breaks when I'm trying to open a little can of tomato paste. At that point you literally grab anything you have, even if it's a rusty cleaver and a fucking mallet. Just mash the top of the can into the corner of your faux granite counter top and then caveman it the rest of the way. Seriously, how could you possibly look at the op imagine and think, "yeah, I guess I'll just starve now"?

There's definitely more of a "pass down the traditions" in Asian culture compared to white (particularly American) culture. So whereas a lot of Asians grew up with, "grandma taught mom and mom taught me and grandma corrected mom", with a lot of white (millennial) people it all kind of got lost with the boomers. That said, I know plenty of white people who can cook and plenty of Asians who can't - but stereotypes exist for a reason.
>the thread is about sharpening your knives
Okay, here's another analogy. Most (white) Americans will teach their children who to change the oil in their car. Meanwhile most Asian (women) drive like they played GTA for 5 minutes and were given the keys to a brand new, leased Kia.

Your headcanon is closer to Cambodia than Sonoma.
