This + you can always gently warm it by placing a slice or the entire panettone in the low temp oven or by placing it next to a radiator, the final step is toasting it in the pan for maximum pleasure.

But please try both methods because toasted panettone has and added external crunchy texture and the candied fruit gets softer, plus the heat makes the orange zest express a lot more.

Pic related can also be enjoyed with a little glass of orange liquor like grand marnier poured over the slice (or the liquor of your choice) or you can use a syrup like maple syrup or salted caramel for contrast, chantilly cream or tiramisu cream. The limit is your fantasy, but please keep it symple to avoid covering the flavour of the panettone.
