No, the general quality of everything in the US has dropped mainly owing to everyone here being an emotionally dead broken human being going through the motions with the least possible effort. Everyone is demoralize and resigned to the fact the dream is over and so no one wants to do more than the absolute minimum while they wait for the everything to fall apart around them.
