Ok /ck/ today I'm going to share with you my absolute favorite recipe. One of my favorite foods in the world is pulled pork bbq. I've never owned a smoker though so I've had to learn to make it another way. I've made this recipe for everything from family dinner to work parties to church pot lucks and I have NEVER had leftovers. You need a few supplies and ingredients -
>Large crock pot
>Boston butt big enough to fill 2/3 of your crock pot
>A 2L bottle of root beer (my go to brand is A&W)
>2 regular sized bars of milk chocolate (I usually use Hershey but that gets so much hate around here, use what you like)
>a couple bottles of sauce (for this recipe go as spicy as you can handle because it will offset the sweet and taste delicious, I use pic related)
>bread and butter pickle slices
>and finally buns (large round hamburger style buns)
Put the butt in your crock pot and fill the pot to 3/4 full of root beer. Put the chocolate on top of the meat, put the lid on, set to low, and let that motherfucker cook all day. If your lids seal is good it shouldn't lose too much moisture but if you're not sure about your pot, watch it to make sure you don't need to add more root beer to keep it from drying out and burning. When it's done cooking take the meat out of the liquid and put into a large mixing bowl. Toss the liquid down the sink. Throw out the fat flap and bone. Also pull out any other huge hunks of fat. Shred the meat and pour the sauce over it and mix together. Serve on buttered toasted bun with pickles. You will get absolute rave reviews. I guarantee it.
