This is posted about 4 times a day.

On other boards 4 would be equal to 650

I'm just going to eyeball it, but here's an ingredient list:

- Olive or rapeseed oil
- Red lentils
- Green lentils
- Pasta
- Tomato paste
- Salt
- Broccoli
- Carrot
- Parboiled rice
- Green pepper
- Sodium bicarbonate

You can make a rice salad with red and green lentil, the vegetables, salt and oil. Just soak rice and lentils before cooking, letting it rest, and mixing with chopped vegetables.

You can also make sauce with the red lentils which turn into a porridge – which can be made smooth by the addition of a tiny bit of sodium bicarbonate – and tomato paste. To serve over pasta.

In the past, I used to recommend Bachelor Chow v0.6b, but I found that the logistic chain left to be desired.

I never tried it, but you can.

I have to download GIMP to work on it, but this is what I came up with for "cheapest, easiest, sustenance, for most everyone" while I worked on something a bit more sophisticated.

The newest revision uses olive oil, eliminates the hippie crap, and is even cheaper. Lentils are also red and green in a 1:1 ratio, and I'm working on getting rid of the pills, but produce is hard to keep and is very expensive, so that's something else to think about.

Soak it 12 hours in the fridge, nuke it in a microwave rice cooker, add the stuff, and you should be good to go.

I ate this and pretty much only this for two months swimming 2 hours, 5 days a week.

I found this on /ck/ a week or so ago. I can't vouch for it, but it may interest you.

I feel like we've had a rash of rice threads recently but lentils are getting very little love right now, especially relative to their nutritional value. So, you guys got any ways to jazz up lentils? I have a bunch in the pantry right now that I'm itching to use. Bonus points if the recipes include stuff you would already find in an average kitchen, but I may take a walk on over to Publix today so I could pick up some stuff there.

Pic only tangentially related; hoping to do a bit better than this.

This is for you.

It's imperfect in a few ways, but it's fine to eat for a long time. Might get around to v0.7 eventually.

Sup, co/ck/s

what are your experiences with bachelor chow? How long does it keep?
I'm not sure if I want to lower myself to that level, but I'm strapped for cash. Anybody have any good bachelor chow recipes?

I like it plain. Thai jasmine rice, anyway. American parboiled rice I like in other things, such as Bachelor Chow v.0.6b, which is the way I found to keep myself, and channers alive, sand and healthy in rough times.

What you need is Bachelor Chow v.0.6b!

I've also not been feeling hungry the past few days now. My brain says "you should eat" but my body says "do not want".

Bachelor Chow.

It's delicious, nutritious, and cheap. You just have to be careful to stick with it once you have money, though.
