I have a leg of lamb sitting in my crockpot on high, yet, 1/3rd of it is above the liquid. There is easily enough liquid and space for it to be covered, yet it's floating and I'm worried. Did I fuck up? I didn't trim the fat cap and now there's a lot of oil on top too.

This guy has to be up there as one of the best people to learn the basics of cooking from.
He is Australian, that makes him even more awesome.

My thoughts are becoming increasingly ridiculous and incoherent, a large portion of the day it's just my internal monologue saying absurd shit or thinking about blowing my own head off. My diet isn't just processed sloppa either which is the weird thing, I've been eating lots of fresh breads and grilled meats and rice recently because I'm travelling in the middle east. Is food beyond saving me, is it time for meds?

You know the answer, it's because it's a specialty item and they know lactose intolerant people are forced to buy it, therefore they can inflate the price. Also, just exercise some fucking self restraint and stop drinking half a gallon of milk a day. Limit yourself to one or two cups and leave it at that.

Yep, for absolutely no reason in my mid-20s I randomly became intolerant to egg whites. It's not technically an allergy because I don't get hives or die when I eat them, but I get a horrible stomach ache, my body feels heavy, I barf, and have diarrhea. Feels a lot like that one time I got food poisoning from a chink restaurant in Oakland. It's super fucked up because I love eggs and used to eat them every day, no clue why it happened to me. I met an older lady waitress the other day and she said the same thing happened to her with coconut.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was actually a normal occurrence since forever. Boomers and older folks like that have never gone to the doctor or "reported" when something mundane like getting a tummy ache from cheese happens to them. I think there's lots of reports nowadays because young people are more likely to go to the doctor for stupid shit.

>making rice in a pot
>chill on the couch in the other room
>15 minutes later go check on the rice
>stare at the lump of charcoal in the pot that was once rice
>realize I never turned the heat down when the water started boiling, causing it to evaporate
>mfw
>spend the next hour chipping and scraping out a mass of burnt rice of the pot with a flat head screwdriver and steel wool
