Where did the "vegetables are healthy" mantra come from? I always heard as a kid it never made sense why something healthy would taste so awful.

I'm a mangoloid. I was born on the mango fields. Raised on the mango fields. Eating mangos and drinking mango juice day after day after day. That was my life. Each morning I'd wake up and find more mango around me. I'd stare at the mango trees and pray to the mango god to make it through the day. The mangolets in the cities just laughed at me. But then, she appeared... My hero. The mango fairy. She said it was all okay. She said I would become a mango. So I became a mango, hidden, watching everything through my mango eyes. Now I could see the world, not from my mango field, but as a mango, as an observer. I watched the brutality, the stupidity of mankind through my mango eyes. I joined this image board of green frogs to take my revenge on the world.
