My roommate is a Philistine who refuses to even attempt to put ANY effort in to cooking something that isn't flavorless slop, followed by a tablespoon of salt and half a bottle of shiracha on the shit he just made. He greys ground beef and calls it done. He cooks chicken to like 180. He cooks pork to about the same.
Sometimes he will just cook a meat. That's it. No sides. Just eats the meat, no vegetables, no rice or potatoes or anything.
He has the pallet of a 7 year old and when I try to cook something decent he just dumps condiments all over it and can't taste anything past "salt and spice".
I've been trying to convince his girlfriend to at least give him a few pointers, cause the shit falls on deaf ears when I mention things nicely, but she just ends up cooking for him and thus the cycle repeats.
