get any german hefeweizen. paulaner is the most common. they're all really good and good entry level beers since they're not bitter at all but still flavorful

it's really watery and bland for a stout. I'll still take it over most corporate lagers though
bavarian-style wheat ales are way tastier though as far as mass-produced big brand beer goes

if you want good non-bitter beers, try a german wheat beer, not some tasteless generic lager from a country with no tradition of brewing beer at all

unfiltered (hazy) beer has more vitamins and micronutrients, but it's not that big of a difference, you're still drinking fermented grain soup in the end
dark beers aren't more healthy, they're just made from roasted malt instead of unroasted

I like weizens (bavarian wheat beers) like paulaner, franziskaner, erdinger etc.
very approachable while still being different from the generic lagers most people are used to

>witbier
belgian wheat beer flavored with orange peel and spices (generally coriander). hoegaarden is the most popular commercial example
>hefe-weizen (aka weissbier or weizen)
bavarian wheat beer, tastes strongly of bananas, yeast, clove, sometimes citrus fruits. paulaner, franziskaner, benediktiner and other -ers are popular examples
>APA
like the meme IPA, but weaker on the alcohol, so more suitable for summertime. mostly made by craft breweries
>pils
aka normal beer except good. surprisingly hard to find.
>(normal) stout
dark, low to medium ABV, tastes of coffee, chocolate, roasted malts. guinness is the most popular commercial example, though probably also the least flavorful
>grodziskie (aka gratzer)
a fairly rare polish smoked wheat ale, but nice in the summer if you can find some. a bit tart, dry, noticably smokey, low ABV.

almost everything with an ABV below 6% should be served chilled, though only shitty beer should be served ice-cold

I know that the traditional /tg/ gaming dish is meatbread
https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Meatbread

as for drinks, unfiltered beers look pretty medieval, mead is generally too sweet and alcoholic for a gaming session I'd say

but you can get a german weizen almost anywhere in the world except for total shitholes
paulaner is like the only decent beer along with guiness you can find in even the shittiest bar

craft beer is better on average than macro beer since 95% of macro beer is tasteless lagers that are only palatable when almost frozen, while the average craft beer is just a slightly overhopped IPA
that being said there is a lot of good macro beer out there, and many bad craft beers too
a nice weizen certainly beats some sriracha and bacon beard monstrocity
