No, scientists should, and they have, overwhelmingly

Letting uneducated bureaucrats or internet bloggers decide what is science is no better than having corporations do it as you lament. Just because you went to a whole foods once doesn't make you qualified to declare science as false

Its like vaccines. I couldn't care less whether you think they are safe, they are factually safe, the science is definitive. Just because you belong to some cult that is opposed to progress does not mean thee population at large should suffer

I am really not opposed to them being labeled, I just wish more people were educated and didn't blindly fear progress because of their lack of scientific literacy

here is a summary of the results from the UW study that motherjones article cited.

Literally all of the GMO strains they studied were better than conventional corn. That article put such a ridiculous spin on these results
