Little over a year ago, political intern for a major national campaign. It's complete chaos, constant scandals, nobody expected to win.

Our guy is a literal dolt who needs his talking points read to him like a kindergartener. He's running against a painfully brilliant, cunning, steely nerved rival with ass loads of government experience.

Everyone is drinking and depressed the last few weeks as the election approaches. It's such an embarrassment we all just want it to be over, and several guys are talking about how to take this time on their resumes with something better.

Then these creepy foreign guys start popping up.

We warn candidate and his managers accepting help from these guys is not just unethical, but probably violates several hard US laws.

Candidate doesn't care.

We let creepy foreign guys run Facebook accounts with really crazy messages. They try to hack some emails from opponent. They make a lot of promises about miracles happening on election day when we're trailing in every major poll.

Nobody believes them.

They joke about votes being changed "right where it counts."

Again, nobody believes them.

But then a funny thing happens: against all odds candidate wins.

Then my internship ends and the whole country blows up asking questions.

I swore up and down I'd keep my mouth shut about creepy foreign guys.

But I'm scared shitless men in black will show up any fucking day and make sure I never work again.
