This whole thread is full of personal opinion, outright faggotry and ignorance.
Collectively /ck/ knows absolutely fuck all about food or cooking.
You guys need this board splitting and you definitely need a sticky because the majority of you are fucking retards.

Who's interested?

I'm fairly new to /ck having only really been lurking here for the past 5 months.
This board is weird because unlike other boards a lot of posters don't really know what they are on about (I'm a chef) or just post blatant rubbish.
Would it be a good idea if the board was split into two distinctive entities? One for pure cooking and the other for general discussion about food. This would allow people with a genuine interest in cooking (/ck/) to swap ideas and advice but also give the kids somewhere to talk about junk food and fast food outlets (/fo/).
Naturally the /ck/ board could have a sticky which I and other members of the IRC community would be happy to contribute to and maybe a link to /tv/ so the Youtube "celebrity" fans and other "Rebecca Black" fan types have somewhere to post.
What do you think, /ck/?

And the cooking board would need a sticky. It wouldn't be hard to do, most of the basic techniques are objective and never change.

Roughly this time last year a group of anons/namefags got together on the IRC to collaberate on a /ck/ sticky.
From what I saw it looked quite promising. What happened, was it ever submitted?
It didn't contain recipes just the basic objective techniques of food prep' and cooking.

Why doesn't /ck/ have a sticky.
I'm learning to cook and could use some guidance.

Do you think it would be appropriate to include a section on kitchen hazards and the danger of food poisoning (salmonella, e-coli etc.) in the /ck/ sticky?
