MAƒag here. When I was 8 years old we took my first trip into Boston to see Red Skelton at the Wang Theatre, and we had lunch at Bennigan's which was just a block away. I was only 8 but I got the Monte Cristo and it was pure magic, fucking nothing like anything I had seen before and it was delicious.

Ten years later I moved to Boston for uni and lived a block away. First meal with my parents on move-in day was the same Bennigan's and I got the Monte Cristo again. Still fucking loved it.

†RIP† Bennigan's Boston. An institution for maybe 40 years now gone.

Yeah, that’s the deal where I am the Bennigans closed :( The corporate headquarters closed most of them I think they were having financial difficulties and I think it was mostly the ones in malls that closed. There are still many around though

I remember their Monte Cristo sandwich (did they even have anything else worth ordering?). Went to the Coralville, Iowa location occasionally with friends in college.
