There's something so, dare I say 'wholesome', about that nostalgic Americana ideal of Coca-Cola. Like, the idea that it's the 1950s and it's Saturday night. And you went into town with your best gal. In one of those big '50s cars. Like a Cadillac. With tail-fins. And you took her to see a Western movie or dance at a sock hop. Of something And then you have dinner. At like one of those diners where the waitresses wear those old timey pink waitress dresses. Or, it's one of those drive-in places where the waitresses wear roller-skates and bring your food to your car. And you eat a hamburger. And you 'wash it down' with one of those small glass bottles of Coca-Cola. That cost a nickel. You know what I mean?

But, really. The reality of Cola-Cola is so much more ugly than that. For the VAST majority of Cola-Cola consumers. It's not a small bottle, once a week. As a treat. It's a 2-litre in their fridge. Always. Gross.
