What's weird is Michigan has a fairly large Middle Eastern population, with a lot of Mid East restaurants, but that kind of kebab seems to be mostly and East Coast thing, like something you'd get at a cart stand. I grew up always knowing "kebab" being this, shish kebab. I never heard of that other type before until I got older and posting on the internet.
