as a bong I hate how surface level most brits are in their food and culture. for example we are known around the world for loving tea yet 99% of tea drinkers here drink shitty teabag blends. english cuisine gets a bad rep only because noone actually cooks real food anymore, traditional english recipes are great but many are lost to time due to ww2 and postwar rationing and now when people learn to cook its all americanised bullshit
