That reminds me. I know you actually can eat those but I never tried them.
Maybe I can remember to get them in time this season (which is before they look like in that pic)

I'm not squeamish and I'd probably try a dish with that.
But I gotta say it really doesn't look very appetising

Not him, but with leftover mashed potatoes, mix it with onion, garlic, chives, spices, bacon, cheese or whathaveyou. Then make balls, push 'em flat, and fry in olive oil.

You don't learn cooking from a sticky.

Just watch a lot of cooking. I would start with Chef John on youtube, Alton Brown (is on cooking channel, was on food, all episodes on youtube), and a few others you can google for recipes like Jacques Pepin and Gordon Ramsay.

Get your staples in your pantry/fridge, learn how to do basic things such as steak, chicken breast, rice, beans, eggs, potatoes. Then expand from there.

Once you get to that point, just pick a recipe, make it and remember what you did right, notice what you did wrong, and make a note of how you can improve upon it.

Cooking, like all things worthwhile, is a gradual learning process.
