When I was broke and first moved out it was a great way to fill my gullet really cheap.

>Potatoes skin on
>Any meat I have laying around (bacon, ham, chicken, sausage, salami, pepperoni ect)
>Hard boiled eggs (I use 1 egg per potato)
>Pickles or relish
>Any other pickled vegetables i had like pickled peppers or olives
>Any vegetable I have onions, scallions, celery, shallot, carrot, bell peppers or peppers from my garden
>Dukes mayo
>Sour cream or butter milk
>Mustard (specifically Walmart dill mustard) it's really cheap and tastes great
>Fresh dill if I could afford it or in the summer it grows wild here
>Salt pepper garlic onion dried chives celery seed
>White or apple cider vinegar
>Pinch of sugar (I basically made a more savory spiced coleslaw dressing then tossed everything with it)

>Boil the potatoes
>When they are almost done add the eggs to the pot
>Drain and let cool slightly
>Cut vegetables herbs and pickles
>Make spiced cole slaw dressing
>Cut potatoes and eggs
>Mix everything while potatoes and agge are still warm (this makes the potatoes and eggs really absorbe the flavor better then mixing it cold)
>Let sit over night
Make sandwich with letter tomato and sliced onion
>You can use any bread but I usually bake my own rustic white bread because it's way cheaper and better then the store

With a few tweaks like dusting with corn mela and rice flour and the addition of an all purpose dough conditioner. I also wet the top and sprinke with sesame seeds.


Anyway, if you broke anons are tired of eating ramen take the potato salad sandwich pill it's a tasty hearty meal that is quick cheap lasts a long time and can really clean out your fridge of left overs

Is a potato salad sandwich a real thing? Has anyone here ever had one? Trying to settle a cooking argument here.
