Morning, /ck/. I'm looking for some variation. I was hoping you'd share some of your personal jerky recipes.

Hey /ck/, I'm wondering what's the best way to make beef jerky that isn't a dehydrator. Can I put it in the oven at a low temperature & leave it to dry over night, or will this change the flavor somehow? I also want to ask which one of these recipes is better:

or

Also jerky General I guess

So, I was thinking it might be nice to keep some quick supplies in the car for bug out / stuck on the highway for a day+ sort of situations (Anyone who knows 78 in PA knows this can happen, fuck PENDOT). I've got a gallon of water, some jerky and nuts. Any other high protein or high energy snacks that can last both temperature extremes?

Here's my latest jerky batch.

Anybody know a brand of beef jerky that's nice and tender and won't destroy my teeth? I have a few fillings and eating the typical store brands isn't an option. But goddamnit, I NEED some beef jerky!

Bonus if I can find it in store.
