Welp. I do spend way too much time in bed, and half the time what I buy is pretty random. I actually had a couple single barrel bourbons in mind which they didn't have, but the Four Roses was on sale as a staff pic and I knew it was a smart buy, and the George Dickel I honestly bought because the last guy who made a whiskey thread posted it. I looked it up and read reviews and tasting notes in the store, and am actually really happy with the purchase; it's a really decent budget whiskey and I'd honestly buy it again over Jack any day of the week. I haven't tried the vodka yet, and I usually just buy Seagram's for everyday drinking, but it was also a staff pic and was on sale for cheaper so I thought I'd give it a try, however nauseating the USA! USA! crap on the label is.

I know this isn't a beer thread, but I saw this Stone and had to give it a try. Pic related is the last time I tried a POG beer, and I just had to buy it when I saw it in the store. I literally went to Hanalei School, played on the Hanalei pier as a child (and pretty much learned how to swim in Hanalei Bay), loved POG, played POGs, and love IPAs... Well it was shit. Stone is kind of hit or miss on their experimental stuff, but a POG Berliner Weisse already sounds better than a fruit IPA. Maybe I'll report back later with my impressions, if anyone cares.
